Introduction

This privacy policy applies to laurensattler.com and all projects operated by Lauren Sattler LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”), including time/space yoga. It describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect personal information only when you give it to us:

• Email address — collected when you opt in by using a newsletter signup form on the site, or by selecting “also opt into marketing emails” on a contact form. Used to send you newsletters, event notifications, and related communications from time/space yoga and other Lauren Sattler LLC projects.
• Name, email address, and message content — collected through the contact form. Used to reply to your inquiry.
• Technical information — when you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically receives standard request information (IP address, browser type, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate location based on IP). This is logged for security and performance purposes and is not used to identify you.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

How we use what we collect

We use the information we collect to:

• Send newsletters, event notifications, and other communications from our projects to people who have subscribed.
• Respond to messages submitted through the contact form.
• Maintain the security, performance, and operation of the site.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or marketing partners. We do not use it to build a profile of you across other websites.

Who we share information with

We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate the site and our email communications. These providers receive only the information needed to perform their function:

• Google — for incoming and outgoing email, and mailing list management.
• Our hosting provider — for serving the site. They receive the technical information described above as part of routine site operation.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices and is subject to its own privacy policy.

We do not share your information with anyone beyond these providers.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or analytics. Any cookies set by the site are limited to those strictly necessary for basic functionality (for example, session management for site administrators).

If we add analytics or other cookie-setting tools in the future, this section will be updated and, where required, you will be asked for consent before they run.

How long we keep information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we have a reason to use it:

• Email subscribers (opt-in and unsubscribe records): kept for the lifetime of our operations. We retain both subscription and unsubscribe records so we can continue communicating with subscribed members and ensure we never email anyone who has chosen to opt out.
• Contact-form submissions: kept in our email system indefinitely so we can reference past correspondence with you. We do not move them into separate systems or share them.
• Technical/server logs: retained by our hosting provider per their standard retention policies.

You can request deletion of your information at any time (see “Your rights” below). If you make such a request, all of your data — including both opt-in and unsubscribe records — will be erased. Note that this means if you sign up again in the future, we will have no record of your previous opt-out, and you will be treated as a new subscriber.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Request deletion of your information (“right to erasure”).
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time. You can do this by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.
• Receive your information in a portable format (“data portability”).
• File a complaint with a data protection authority. If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your country’s supervisory authority.

Lawful basis for processing (EU and UK visitors)

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on the following legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:

• Consent — for sending marketing communications. You give consent when you sign up for the email list, and you can withdraw it at any time.
• Legitimate interests — for responding to contact-form inquiries and for the basic security and operation of the site.
• Legal obligation — where we are required by law to retain or disclose information.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from loss, theft, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work with reputable providers and follow current best practices for handling personal data.

International transfers

Because our service providers (Google and our hosting provider) operate internationally, the information you provide may be processed, stored, or accessed in countries outside your own — including the United States. Our providers maintain appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for transfers of personal information out of the EU and UK.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a substantive change, we will update the “Effective date” at the top and, if appropriate, notify subscribers by email. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
